Flexible Minds With Flexible Seating

Help me give my students 3 Wobble Chairs as a way to incorporate flexible seating and to help the the kids improve their focus and engagement.

My Students

The fourth grade children in my building are an incredible group of young people. They love coming to school each day. You can see it on their faces as they walk down the hallways, eager to high five and hug their teachers. Our students are always looking for ways to help one another. I am so lucky to get to work with these fabulous future leaders of the world.

My students are given the opportunity to make choices on a daily basis.

They vote in regards to curricular issues. They have the option to work alone, in partners, or in groups. My students get to decide what activities they want to participate in during their Math Lab time. They even get the choice to choose which type of seat they want to sit in for the day.

My Project

I am requesting an additional 3 wobble stools to add to my fourth grade classroom. These stools are rather expensive so I am only requesting a few at a time. These stools are found in many of the classrooms in my building. I was blessed to receive 3 wobble stools from a previous Donors Choose project. The kids were so excited and grateful when they arrived. If my project is fully funded I will be able to provide additional wobble stools for my students. These wobble stools have been a great way to help my high energy students alleviate their stress but in a way that is appropriate in the classroom setting.

I currently have 3 wobble stools and the students have been begging for 3 more.

In classrooms of 22 children there are more than 3 students who could benefit from these chairs. This project would help me to meet more students' needs.
