Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The goal for my classroom is always to keep the students engaged as often as possible. For eight to eleven-year-old kids, the key to engagement is to make learning active and fun. I want to see my students smiling and interacting with each other, using the flexible seating we have around the room, and keeping interactive notebooks that are colorful and useful.
When I wake up every day, I think "How are we going to laugh together today?".
This often means taking normal standards and creating a fun and unique way to present the material. These students deserve to look forward to school each and every day.
