I teach at in a very rural area with a combination of children who come from different backgrounds. The students in my classroom are very diverse with many who come from poverty. Many of my students come from a broken home as well. In our classroom we work together to help one another. We work together to establish relationships that many of my students do not possess outside of the classroom. I want my students to create relationships and friendships that last a lifetime.
My students are very energetic third graders who love to learn!
Our school serves students in pre-kindergarten through fourth grade. The teachers strive to provide a rich and rigorous education while making our students feel safe.
My Project
The materials that I have chosen will allow my students the option to choose different seating in the classroom. Some of these options allow my students to move, which I feel will really benefit their learning.
I truly feel that these items will increase my students ability to further their own education.
The stacking stools will give my students a different choice rather than a regular chair. Wobble chairs and wobble cushions will allow my students to learn while moving to release energy. The bounce bands will allow my students to move their feet without distracting themselves or their neighbor.
