This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My fourth-grade students are bright, curious, and eager to learn- but our traditional desks don't always meet their diverse needs. I'm requesting lap desks to provide more flexible seating and workspace options that support focus, comfort, and collaboration.

Lap desks will allow students to work in various areas of the classroom-on the floor with a partner, in a quiet corner for independent work, or in a group setting for projects.

This flexibility encourages student choice, which in turn boosts engagement and ownership of learning. For some students, especially those with attention challenges, alternative seating makes a big difference in their ability to concentrate.

With your support, we can create a more inclusive, student- centered learning environment where every child has the space they need to succeed.
