This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a joyful, curious, and determined group of learners. They come to school each day ready to engage with new ideas and support one another in their growth. What makes them special is their willingness to try, their eagerness to collaborate, and their resilience in the face of challenges. They thrive in a classroom that encourages hands-on learning, creativity, and movement—and they benefit most from tools that make learning visible and accessible.

This project will bring a mobile teaching easel into our classroom to support flexible, interactive learning.

With double-sided magnetic whiteboards—one blank and one lined—this easel will allow us to shift between subjects with ease, whether we’re writing together during literacy or solving problems in math. The mobility of the easel means we can bring learning to small groups or whole-class lessons, wherever we are in the room. My goal is to create a more organized and responsive teaching space that allows all students to participate fully, see their thinking represented in real time, and engage more deeply with content. This easel will help us build a classroom that’s not only more efficient, but more inclusive and inspiring.
