Flexible Learning Environment - Comfortable Students Learn Best!

My students need these items to achieve a classroom environment that allows flexible seating. This seating will allow all students to be comfortable as they learn! We need yoga mats, wobble cushion and file crates.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Teaching students in my school may often seem, to others, like an uphill battle. I see these students as an opportunity to help shape the future.

These students are as far into the future as we can see.

As the second highest poverty rate school in my county, it is filled with students who may not see their own talents and contributions to the world.

I attempt to be a teacher that shows students they can achieve whatever they put their minds to.

My Project

Current studies show the positive impact of flexible seating.

Flexible seating and "flexible classrooms empower student choice, increase student engagement, and improve student participation." (Edutopia, 2015).

All items in this list will be used to create this positive environment for all student in my classroom. These seating arrangements will allow all students to be more engaged and ready to learn.

These items where chosen for specific reasons:

●Stability Wobble Cushions/Exercise Fitness Core Balance Discs● were chosen as a way for "wiggle" students to not distract their peers and me as they wiggle and learn

● Extra Thick High Density Yoga Mats● will allow students to complete their assignments, group work, etc. on the floor with comfort.

●Sterilite File Crates● will be used as seating for small group meetings. I will cover with cushioning and it will also double as storage for student binders.

● Limm Exercise Resistance Loop Bands ● will assist those students who just cannot keep their feet still. It will allow them to move with resistance to tire those little legs!

● Pencil Set with Fidgets● will again assist those students who just need to move a little more than their other friends. These are a desecrate way to easy their fidgeting!
