This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

After 36 years of teaching, mostly in 5th grade, I am moving to 3rd grade. I am looking forward to teaching in a flexible, comfortable space. A space that students can move around to or come together as a group with. These carpet pieces will allow us to do just that! I am excited to use them for our whole group instruction. We can have our own space on the ground while we learn together as a group. We can also move them around the classroom as needed. This will allow us to learn together.
