This year's group of students are very energetic and love to learn. They are questioner, dreamers, thinkers, open-minded and curious. Each student brings such a love to learning and wants to grow as a reader and mathematician. They believe in themselves! They keep a smile on your face throughout the day. My students come from different financial backgrounds, cultures, and home structures. Some students have limited supplies and no access to certain things that many others do. Even with obstacles standing in their way, these students want to be active learners and soak up as much information as possible.
Students will be able to have more options in seating. Flexible seating provides ways for students release energy without disruption within the classroom. Through flexible seating, students will be able to have more say in how they learn by choosing seats that are flexible in their way of learning. Students will also have ownership in their learning through the use of flexible seating.
Students sometimes have the case of the wiggles.
The yoga balls provide a way for students to release their wiggles with increasing their engagement and without creating distractions. The yoga balls provide physical activity and kinesthetic learning for students. Our students are changing and why not change their seating choices into more flexible options!
