The students in my room are energetic, love life and learning, and have the kindest hearts. We are an integrated classroom with students who have special needs who make up about a third of my classroom. Our classroom is a community where students are allowed to express their talents, abilities, and experiences.
Kindergarten is often the first educational experience, and my students walk in everyday excited to learn and grow.
My students use their talents to challenge one another and create experiences with each other that they will carry with them for a lifetime.
I have a very diverse group in my classroom. Currently we are struggling with sitting and learning for longer periods of time. The new seats will help my students be comfortable in our classroom and learn while also getting the movement so many kindergarten children need.
Flexible seating helps their little bodies focus on the task at hand.
We have a growing push of constant learning in kindergarten and with the new seating I can help provided them with movement and add some fun into our classroom.
I have started to give students an option on how they want to sit during the day and have seen such great success. I see less behavior, more smiles, and students ready to work. Unfortunately, I am limited to the options I can provide and I am hoping this project with continue to help my students by giving them more options.
