My Project
The special education classroom setting provides intensive, individualized instruction that is accessible to all learners. In our room, we try to do as much small group work and 1:1 work as possible, but the arrangement and availability of furniture and technology make it very difficult to do so.
It is extremely important for our students to feel calm and confident while they are working, and I believe offering them some flexible seating options will do just that!
The portable laptop cart will allow me to present materials and take data from any area in the room, so I can meet the student where they are! The beanbag will offer a cozy and relaxing spot for a student who may be having a tough day or need a quiet space. The wobble stool will allow a student with extra energy to move around a bit, while still staying engaged in the lessons and activities.
