Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Curiosity and wonderment engulf my students consistently every day. They embody an exhaustible desire to learn and assist each other on their academic path. Learning within and beyond the four walls of their classroom, my fifth graders continue to make significant strides.

Diversity is a steady theme in our class, allowing students to thrive and showcase what makes them unique in order to seal a bond of continuous trust and family.

Valuing diversity has truly been a game changer for my students. A flourishing culture and community encourages and demands every student to consistently put their best foot forward.

My Project

Purchasing a rug and couch seats will promote choice making for each student in order for them to excel and succeed. Allowing students to choose where to sit develops focused learners and an environment conducive to learning. My students will have more control over their seating that favors their best learning styles.

Whether choosing to stand, sit, lay, or squat, collaboration between students will excel exponentially promoting creative thinking, communication, and creativity.

Students will have the option to sit on desk chairs, squat on pillows, stretch out on a rug, or stand at a tall desk. Either way, choice encourages students to control how they learn and spend more time expanding their learning experience.
