When moving to Florida I had little knowledge of what the schools were like. I've found myself in a school where I feel I can make a difference. These students have become more to me than just kids to teach, they are my extended family.
The students I have had the pleasure of teaching the past two years are creative, fun, and curious.
They love to research things and teach me about them. They like to move while they work.
My Project
Our school district is pushing out an initiative called Vision 20/20 in which our schools will be on a 1:1 basis with technology. As a teacher I love the fact that my students have so much knowledge at their finger tips. But there is still something lacking.
Students have so much energy and providing a flexible classroom space for them to learn in is another way for my students to thrive.
They will have many things to choose from such as yoga balls, carpet mats, desks, and lap desks. I truly believe having such an open space will allow my students the opportunity to grow to their potential.
