My sixth grade students walk into my classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. We are a class that lives for Fri-YAY's, positivity, and work to be active members of our community and society.
The students in my class need a safe place to be themselves and take care of their needs.
Most days, a child’s experience follows an ebb and flow, and within that ebb and flow they are trying to find their way within their classroom environment. The purpose of my classroom is to support their growth and promote a safe and welcoming learning space.
My Project
Flexible seating, including these stools and lap desks, will allow my students to learn in an environment that works best for them. With these flexible seating options I have chosen, my students will have a choice in where they would like to work in the classroom with the seating that makes them most comfortable and productive.
Instead of having to learn in one place day after day, my students will be able to move and change locations and positions around the classroom, and this will be beneficial to them and their individual learning styles and needs.
With their choice of seating, my students will feel empowered and will be more alert, motivated and engaged in learning!
