My Project

Fifth graders are approaching an age where they begin to take on a large responsibility for their learning as they get prepared for middle school. Part of that responsibility is understanding how they learn best. By utilizing flexible seating options throughout our classroom, students have access to a variety of seating options they can choose from to carry out their independent, partner, or small group work.

Students are much more engaged in their learning and motivated to complete assignments when provided choices such as their seating.

Currently, in our classroom, we have traditional desks, tables with stools, and floor areas. The products I selected will help broaden the choices of flexible seating available for students. The floor seats will allow students to comfortably work on the floor within our classroom and in the hallway, which will foster collaboration among students in a variety of areas.

Students love being able to take control of their own learning and these products will allow a larger number of my students to access flexible seating options throughout our classroom!
