My Project

Children have different preferences for how they like to sit and work. Some may focus better while sitting on the floor, others on a wobble stool, and some at a traditional desk. Flexible seating allows them to choose what works best for them.

When students have a say in where they sit, they feel more in control of their learning environment.

This sense of autonomy can lead to increased engagement and a greater investment in their learning. Using flexible seating in elementary school classrooms is part of recognizing that students are diverse learners with varying needs and preferences.

By providing a range of seating options, educators can create a more comfortable, engaging, and effective learning environment that supports the academic, physical, and social-emotional growth of their students.
