This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are an amazing group of students who, despite many life and socioeconomic challenges, persevere and learn. I have a diverse group of students, many of whom are ESL and have special needs.
The students in my class are eager to learn and have a unique drive for learning.
They question everything and ask thought-provoking questions.
One quality that really drives my students' learning is their charisma and energy that they bring to the room every day. The energy they bring keeps me charged up, and I truly love teaching this group of students.
My Project
My school district does not have money to buy my 5th grade students chairs that fit them. We are currently teaching students in chairs sized for 3rd graders. My students fidget in their seats a lot because they are too small. Every day is struggle, and I have been purchasing other seating options for them with my own personal money.
With your generous support, I will be able to give my students exercise balls for flexible seating, which will fit their needs and growing bodies.
