My students and I truly believe this, and we move as much as we can.
The kids enjoy exercise and try to move as much as possible during lessons to help them engage their brain and their bodies. This encouraged me to look into flexible seating so my students can have an outlet for their energy!
My students are amazing little people! They love to learn and really enjoy hands-on activities that get them moving. They attend a STEAM school and regularly receive problem-based instruction. They are very inquisitive and enjoy learning, moving and showing off all of their hard work.
My Project
My students love to move, and it has been proven that students learn best while moving! My students and I feel that if they have the opportunity to bounce on balls, stand while working, or move around the room and have a cushioned space their attention to work and overall understanding will improve. Their improvement in concentration will have a positive impact on their ability to learn and therefore their performance in school.
I am looking forward to my students having the opportunity to choose their seating and watch how these choices will positively impact their learning.
Giving them the options of flexible seating would allow the kids to improve their concentration by having the ability to be active while learning, as well as improving their physical health. I hope to watch them bounce and wobble their way to success!
