My Project

As an adult, sitting or standing still for hours on end can be brutal. You want to move your body and shake out the restlessness. Now imagine you're 6 years old. You have so much energy and need to let it out but you're at school for 8 hours a day. Focusing can be so tricky when your body has so much to say!

The small brain-breaks given during the day will only do so much, you HAVE to move!

This is where flexible seating is PERFECT! This gives the students the opportunity to move while learning. For some students, moving is the only way their brains can really focus on any task at hand (meaning this is a necessity for them!).

Flexible seating can be used as a reward or a daily tool for some students. This will encourage students to follow the directions so they get a turn in the "fun" seats, too!
