Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students range from kindergarten to 6th grade. As a reading interventionist teacher, I meet exclusively with students who have been chosen through extensive testing and specific criteria that requires small group instruction to help students master reading.
With this mobile Teach and Store Chart, I will be able to provide activities and strategies that will help struggling readers develop the ability to read in the small space that I have been given.
The area in which I work does not have a classroom board nor does it have adequate storage for the materials that are needed to teach my eager students.
The Teach and Store Chart Stand will allow me to have the storage for the tools needed to address the needs of my struggling readers. On one side, I'll be able to write on the board while on the other side I will able to host charts that can hold individual learning cards for the students. Students will also be able to participate in activities by writing on the board and hanging up their work they completed during the small group activity.
The students at my school come from a low-income community. Their goal is to be able to learn and apply their learning to help their families and themselves as they build a solid foundation of their education. Please consider donating so that every child has a chance to not only learn but to thrive in an individualized environment that allows them to flourish!
