Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am asking for updated furniture for my middle school classroom to give my students a more dynamic and comfortable space to work in everyday. I have been doing a lot of collaborative work in my room and In would like to go to continue in that vein by creating a more collaborative space.
I want to invest in comfortable and homey furniture to increate the atmosphere in my room and to help create within my students a sense of pride in their school, their class and in their community.
I have noticed over time that students in rooms that have environments like the one I am trying to create have less trash on the floor and less vandalism.
Giving to my fund will help inspire creativity, innovation, and active participation in my students' education and help give them a comforting and safe environment in which to be themselves and succeed.
