Flexibility is Key

My students need stools and ball chairs, for our small group table and some options for flexible seating in our classroom.

My Students

My students are funny, clever, and resilient. They are an inspiring bunch. My class serves a large range of student ability levels and, by default of human nature, a large range of personalities.

From the moment they cross my classroom's threshold, we focus on creating a growth mindset and allowing each of them to be an expert in whatever they excel in in their lives.

I am hopeful that they will retain that mindset throughout their lives and that together we can put them on the road to academic excellence.

My Project

Fourth graders love to move. Giving them some options for flexible seating will help to get some of their natural wiggles out without disrupting the flow of our daily learning. We also need stools for our small group table so that their seats can be pushed under the table while not in use and we have more space to move around the room. We use our whiteboards all the time in class so that students can have hands on experience in things like solving math problems. Using erasers instead of dirty fingers helps our dry erase markers to last longer!
