My Project

My project will benefit my students by providing a welcoming and comfortable environment for every learner to have their needs met. The pandemic has caused a lot of emotional and physical strain on my students over the past few years. The goal of having these stools, clipboards, cushions and other items in my classroom will be to support them with their social-emotional needs so that they can simply focus on learning the content in our class.

The flexible seating options will provide a safe space for my students to learn.

Students will be able to feel more comfortable at school by providing different seating options just like they would find learning from home. This will also help students who are suffering with anxiety and other behavioral needs to be able to fidget and sit however they may need and focus on their learning.

I am also asking for some accessibility items to help students feel comfortable learning in the classroom whether that be standing up, siting at a desk, or sitting on the ground. This will help my students who may be struggling with stress, anxiety, or simply need a different location free from distractions to better learn in the classroom setting.

My class will greatly benefit from these items and the comfort that they will bring to our classroom. Please help my student create a safe space at school so that they can focus on learning all that they can this year to prepare them for the future!
