I teach 19 amazing second graders who love to learn and move!
My hope is to give my students flexible seating options to help the focus, while welcoming their movement to learn while wiggling.
My students' levels range from basic skills to gifted and talented. With that said, no matter their level or different learning styles the majority of my class has a difficult time sitting to remain focused to complete daily tasks.
I can't wait to see what these nineteen students will be able to achieve when provided with seating options and other tools to help them achieve all of their goals.
My Project
My hope it to boost my students' focus by offering them several flexible seating options. The standing desk, floor lap desks, go anywhere seats and the balance ball chair will allow my students the flexibility and the movement they so need and desire.
Flexible seating options will provide my students with the opportunity to work, grow, and learn together.
Students will easily be able to choose a comfortable area in the classroom where they will be able to stay focused and do their best work.
The standing desk will help my students with ADHD to be able to allow them to stand while getting their work done in order to allow them movement. The balance ball chair would help my students with ADHD to help them focus in order for them to bounce while working.
