My students are your typical 3rd graders. They are bright, cheerful, and still excited to be in school. Most are not underprivileged, physically challenged, or new to our country. They are the kids who are generally overlooked because the students with special needs are the ones that receive the special funding, privileges, or attention.
These kids have eager young minds with a willingness and desire to do extraordinary things.
Each of them knows that one person can make a difference in the world for good, and they are working toward becoming such a person.
My job is to get them to the next level and encourage them to be amazing. They are ready and willing. Their success here will determine their future choices and the future of our world.
My Project
Research has shown that when students are comfortable in their classroom environment, especially in their seating, they are more productive and focused academically. I have seen this evidenced first hand in our classroom for the last two years. Through various other donations and fundraising efforts, I have been able to purchase several different types of seating options for the classroom.
As my students have had the opportunity to choose their own seating, they have been more focused, attentive, and engaged, and I have had far fewer discipline issues.
Your donations will provide additional alternative seating in the form of adjustable height tables and stools, and help my students to further excel academically.
