This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Flexible space seating is a powerful tool for my special education classroom because it supports the diverse sensory, behavioral, and learning needs of my students. By offering a variety of seating options, such as the Wiggle Feet Sensory Cushion and the Mobile Standing Desk, the teachers will be able to create an environment where students feel more comfortable, engaged, and in control of their learning.

This approach aligns with Universal Design for Learning by providing multiple ways for students to access and participate in instruction.

It also fosters independence and self-advocacy, as students learn to choose the seating that best supports their focus and emotional regulation. Ultimately, flexible seating will lead to improved behavior, increased academic engagement, and a more inclusive classroom culture that respects and responds to individual needs.
