My Students
I have an awesome group of eager, energetic 1st graders! They are definitely inquires who love to ask questions and engage in dynamic conversations.
We have worked incredibly hard in our first 9+ weeks back from a school year of virtual learning!
My students enjoy hands on activities that require their minds to critical think and problem solve.
We have become quite the little family in our classroom where our motto is "Let's root for each other, and watch each other grow!"
My Project
Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times, I would like to provide a variety of seating or standing opportunities for students to be able to complete their work. Students are currently able to use a clipboard on the floor, chairs at their desk, standing at their desk, or crate chairs when working in a small group with myself.
I would love to add additional flexible seating opportunities for a few of my students who are very active and fidgety in a regular school chair.
My goal is for all of my students to be as successful as possible this year. I believe differentiating seating, when engaging in classroom activities and instruction, is one way to achieve success for my students.
