Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times, I would like to provide a variety of seating or standing opportunities for students to be able to complete their work. Students are currently able to use a clipboard on the floor, chairs at their desk, standing at their desk, or crate chairs when working in a small group with myself. I would love to add additional flexible seating opportunities for a few of my students who are very active and fidgety in a regular school chair. My goal is for all of my students to be as successful as possible this year. I believe differentiating seating, when engaging in classroom activities and instruction, is one way to achieve success for my students. Thank you so much for your help!
