My students need these great items to have a fully functioning flexible seating classroom. Allowing them to choose their work space allows them to be more comfortable and focused why they work.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our students all come from low econmical backgrounds and doesn't have all the resources that other students need. We have 100% free and reduced lunches in our school. Our children struggle academically but strive to always do their best. With the home life of many of our students they come to school with a lot going on in their little minds. We want to make school a fun and involved environment and allow them some time to let their minds be kids while engaging in education activities.
My Project
I have asked for donations for items that would allow my students to have a fully flexible seating classroom. This will allow them to be more comfortable and engaged why they work on their school material. This also allows them to make choices and know what will help them be a better student why in the classroom. Some of these items will help those active students be able to move in a non distracting way but still allowing them to stay focused on their school work. We would love your donations to help out classroom become a fully flexible seating work space! With the body pillows it will allow students to sit on the floor and be comfortable while also using the lap table or at the lowered table we have in our classroom. The high top and stolls will help those students that like to to stand but won’t be distracting to the other students they will also be able to swivel in the chairs giving them some movement why they are sitting!
