My Students

My classroom is full of students who are advanced learners. I teach a 2nd grade ALC (advanced learning center) class, which means that these students have tested above grade level in reading, and some in other subjects as well. One of the most important parts of my job as an ALC teacher is providing engaging activities and lessons that challenge my students and require them to go deeper into their learning and foster their academic abilities.

I have diverse learners from many backgrounds that hold many talents.

I look forward to providing them with what they need to continue to grow and succeed each day.

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to have more choice in the classroom. Students can choose between a variety of seating options to help make their learning experience more individualized and comfortable. Students that have flexible seating options get to choose where in the classroom they learn, which is helpful to all students regardless of how they learn best. This will also be a huge help to my students who are not neurotypical as they can find a seating option that helps them to get the best learning experience possible in our classroom.
