I teach the sweetest bunch of students who come from varying backgrounds, including transient military families and low-income households. We have been recognized as a Global-Ready School for teaching globally-minded, future leaders. Through a program known as Leader in Me, we also strive to practice the 7 habits of happy kids throughout our school days.

My Project
The use of flexible seating in the classroom allow students to take ownership and accountability for their learning time. The stability balls and tractor stools allow students to lean, sway, wiggle, and bounce, which improves gross motor skills as well as increasing focus.
Flexible seating encourages students to find their best spot to stay calm, focused and productive.

The seat cushions will give students a choice of where they sit within the classroom. These different seating options allow movement into collaborative spaces, allowing students to work together more easily also.
