My Students
In my classroom, I want my students to walk into the classroom ready to learn new and exciting things.
For a lot of students in the classroom, I am the one thing they know they will see on a day to day basis and that I am a constant fixture in their lives.
My students come from families that don't know where their next meal might be, they may be living with a family member or they are taking care of siblings while their parents work the third shift. Many of my students come from households that speak a language other than English and attend a Title I school where the budget gets cut can affect the education they receive.
My Project
Do you remember when you were in school and your desks were in nice neat straight rows, and you didn't get to work with groups or partners. Well in today's educational classroom, things have changed and students learn differently.
Children need to move, wiggle and wobble.
Having these flexible seating balls and cushions will allow my students to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand. By doing this, it helps students increase the oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. In turn, this burns more calories and increases metabolism. It also helps keep young minds more alert and focused
