Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Most of my students come from various cultural backgrounds and most students speak two languages. They practice a growth mindset when challenges arise and see mistakes as a learning opportunity. Their creative little minds and eager to learn every day they come to school.
My students love to learn, they work collaboratively and are ready to use their imagination along with their creative thinking skills when going through the Engineering process.
They strive to do their best every day.
We are a Title One school and this year, one hundred percent of students will receive free breakfast and lunch. We are located in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Our children come from low socioeconomic households and assistance is often needed to help them find success. Teachers in our school are continually helping families in any way possible. We care for our students as our own.Overall, my students come to school ready to learn. They truly inspire me every day and my goal is to try to give them an exciting year filled with meaningful real-world learning experiences.
My Project
The 12 cubby storage system will be a great addition to our flexible seating classroom, but we are in need of storing our materials in an organized way so students can quickly find what they need and return to their seats.
With a flexible seating classroom, students do not use a tradition student desk with storage, but rather regular circular and hexagonal tables and this is the reason my students need these cubbies.
These regular tables do not provide storage for students to store their personal classroom materials. These cubbies will be very useful for storing student materials.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
