My Students

My students are amazing. As a grade level, we view all of the 2nd graders as our students, even if they are in another teacher's class. Our school pulls from a very diverse population, in a rapidly growing area.

We are a big school, but each classroom feels warm, welcoming, and just-right for everyone.

As teachers, we work together to make learning fun and meaningful to the kids. We plan together each week to better collaborate and assess the individual needs of every student.

My Project

I am asking for a class set of the child favorite, Flat Stanley's Original Adventure, for my amazing 2nd graders. Flat Stanley invites kids along on travels to notable places, teaches problem solving, and is easy to understand and think about.

Flat Stanley teaches kids so much about our wonderful world, as well as their families and friends!

As their teacher, I would like for each child to have a book to read and follow along with.

We use this story for a majority of the school year as a project where we invite people we love to teach us about where they live. Having these books will make this activity even more meaningful.
