This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hello! I am a 2cd year self-contained sixth grade teacher for Chicago Public Schools.
Writing has become such an important component to our students curriculum. I love giving my students the opportunity to type their essays in the school computer lab, which enhances their technological skills, as well as their writing skills. Writing assignments in the computer lab take up a lot of time because students must save their work in the lab and can't access their document from home.
If students had their own flash drives, they could save their work and be able to take the flash drives home to continue their writing assignment on their home computers.
Flash Drives have also replaced the floppy disk because their storage capabilities are so much greater. However, due to the fact that Flash Drives are much more expensive, students in my classroom cannot afford to buy their own.
You can help build America's future workforce and build their technology/writing skills by supporting us!
Thank you
