My Project
My students want to show me how much they enjoy learning about new math and reading activities and stories. Sometimes their voices are not able to show their knowledge but by bringing the characters to life on a felt board they will be able to demonstrate their knowledge like never before.
My students have so much to share and these activities will allow them to share what they know in a form that is appropriate for them and their present learning styles.
The felt and flannel boards allow the students to refer back to information throughout the day as they are always available to them.
We have a section of our classroom that will be devoted to the felt and flannel boards. This will also allow students to view these when they have some time throughout the day after lessons are over. Students will be able to retell stories in their own words using the characters on the boards.
I can't wait to see the enjoyment on the students' faces as they are able to open up this whole new world. The pride they will feel when they are able to show a story on the board will be such a benefit as words do not always come so easily for them. Thank you for your support.
