Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
One of our focuses in our school's physical education program is to introduce students to as many different activities as possible. When playing team games, flags have been very effective for us to #1) distinguish who is on which team and #2) allowing students to be competitive but by keeping their hands to themselves. Flags have helped tremendously during tag type games.
These flags can be used in so many of the activities we do and will be a valuable asset because I believe they will be more durable than velcro flags or clip on flags.
I teach a wide age range of students from 5 years old up to 14 years old. Just a couple sets of flags will be able to accommodate all of my students. The activities we play using flags help them develop strategies and team building skills. They also get a great cardio workout and improve their hand-eye coordination.
