Flag Football for All!

My students need flags and footballs to play flag football. We are a Title I school and the Wilson TDJ's are some of the best footballs and the Flag-A-Tag are perfect for the team as well.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing. I teach in a Title I area and you would not know unless someone told you. My students are always so happy and ready to roll, every single day. They are not discouraged by their situation or circumstances. I feel like they use this for motivation. As a former free and reduced lunch student myself, I feel for them and feel like I can relate well with them. I see the struggles they have to go through but it is so inspiring that they do not let that slow them down.

My students strive to be great in all aspects of education, from grades to test scores and of course sports.

Last year we were tops in all three of those aspects and I know the students want to keep up the tradition of being very well rounded. It is great to see how much they care when the world tells them that they do not need to care or try. My student's hearts are one of their biggest assets and biggest inspirations. I truly could not ask for a better group of kids!

My Project

We are a very competitive bunch and try to excel at everything that we do! Our school has the highest test scores in the city and have won all-league titles for the past two years. We want to continue our rich tradition of football domination and believe that getting this equipment will help us do just that!

Students know that we expect greatness and they do not fail to exceed expectations.

That is why football is one of our most popular sports at our school. We do not only teach football but teach students how to be the best versions of themselves that they can be!

Football is my passion and is one of the main things that shaped who I am today! I like to spread that passion with the flag football team here at CMS in hopes to create the best football players and even better people!
