My Students

We are a K-12 public charter school in Utah. We are an excelling Title I school with over 40% of our students on free and/or reduced-price lunches. As a school we excel annually, testing as one of the top schools in the state on standardized tests. We are trying to build up our PE equipment so that we can learn concepts such as motor skills, teamwork, social skills and much more. My students are eager to learn and it shows!

My Project

I love that the students at our school have the opportunity to participate in physical education, and I am honored to be the teacher. I want to provide the most well-rounded physical education experience possible and expose my students to as many sports and physical activities as possible through out the year.

These hula hoops would allow us to do a variety of games and activities during PE and can be used in so many different ways!

The student will be using them with locomotive movements, practicing gross motor skills and for individual and team activities in the gym and for outside activities. Having two different sizes will ensure that every student from kindergarten to fifth grade has a hula hoop that is appropriate for his/her height and size.
