My students need 4 volleyballs and a volleyball net.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Warner's classroom raised $334
This project is fully funded
I'm the Physical Education Teacher for the middle school students in my school. I teach in an all African American, high needs community.
Childhood obesity is one of the many problems the children in this community face. Poor diet and lack of exercise is the cultript. The streets are not safe for the children to play in. The only physical activity they receive is in the gym. The children in my school only recognize football and basketball as sports. I have taught them how to play volleyball. The children who aren't very good at the other sports love volleyball. They an opportunity to be physically active. We don't have the proper equipment to play the sport.
We need volleyballs and a net to explore the new interest the children have in volleyball. The children who would not normally become physically engaged in a sport, are now showing interest in volleyball. Volleyball will help with the battle in childhood obseity. Volleyball will also help the children become physically fit.
Young children are battling heart disease, diabetes and many other conditions that adults are normally concerned with. You will make it possible for my students to be physical active by providing us with the equipment we need to play volleyball. Your help will insure that these children will receive the right amount of physical activity.
