Fitness, Fun, and Mindfulness for All

Help me give my students safety, comfort, and a large-scale space for mindfulness fot 1,000 students with a variety of exceptional needs, mats will allow us to make large group activities accessible and enjoyable for all.

My Project

We are a school of over 1,000 students. We utilize gym mats for a wide variety of activities in our gym. Our current mats are over 20 years old and are falling apart. These mats ensure safety, comfort, and large scale mindfulness movements for our students. Our school budget for our program is 2,000 which covers replacing equipment from the past year. If we purchase these mats out of our budget we would not be able to 1. purchase the amount of mats we need and 2. would not be able to purchase any equipment our upcoming school year. Physical Education not only promotes a healthy body, creates lifetime health habits, but is an amazing way to improve mental health and build resilience. These mats will ensure increased accessibility to comfort and safety for all students while participating in Physical Education. We will utilize these mats with to enhance equitable fitness and mental health activities for every student at WMS.
