Fitness for Life

My Students

We have an amazing active student body that is super curious and excited about learning and supporting each other in person on campus.

The last couple of years has made it difficult for students to attend full time, and a majority was spent at home with independent learning due to shortened schedules and mandatory online learning.

This has made it incredibly hard to engage and provide our awesome students with the hands-on learning experience and activities that they love.

My Project

Students have had a rough couple of years due to the pandemic. Learning from home and not being able to socialize has been particularly tough for kids to remain active.

The kettlebells will be used as part as our Fitness for Life class where students learn about developing the importance of a lifelong active lifestyle.

Exercise has been proven to increase a positive mental attitude, increase memory, concentration, and thinking ability, make students feel better, and feel mentally sharp for tasks inside the classroom. In addition, exercise can improve sleep, give students more energy, and build self esteem.
