My Project

Flexible seating and movement have been a staple in my classroom and I would love to add the FLEXISPOT Exercise Desk Bike to my classroom to help improve my students' physical fitness and overall brain health. Physical activity is shown to increase blood flow to the brain and with just 20 minutes, can improve concentration and help you focus on your learning.

Physical activity and brain health go hand in hand!

Many studies have shown the POSITIVE impact that physical activity has on everything from working memory, trauma, stress control, as well as the impact on students with a variety of learning disabilities.

The FLEXISPOT Exercise Desk Bike will give my students the gift of being able to move while they work with all of the long-term benefits that more physical activity has to offer. My goal with offering this seating option is to promote the positive habit of improving one's fitness levels while also improving the child as a whole; cognitively, emotionally, and behaviorally. I work with students on their foundational reading skills and many of them also suffer from ADHD, Dyslexia, trauma or other conditions, or lack of support at home. There is not one student that the FLEXISPOT Exercise Desk Bike would not benefit in one way or another. Thank you for considering our project!
