My Students
I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such motivated and creative learners as their science and technology integrator and I am THRILLED with the addition of Junior Kindergartners (Pre-K) at our school this year.
These young students are eager and are always curious and excited to learn new things.
Many of my students face challenges and have limited resources available to them outside of school; they come from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds with one-third receiving free or reduced price breakfast and lunch. I am proud to be a part of a caring school community that goes above and beyond to bring every opportunity to our students.
My Project
The beginning of the year, is the best time to learn about my students and for them learn about themselves. When it comes to building confidence and making friends, there is no better place for my students to discover themselves than this 2-day camp experience. The camp provides expertly trained staff to safely guide us as we explore an array of activities, from zip lining to kayaking to conquering the Alpine Tower.
Camp is all about teamwork and being placed in situations where students will need to face their fears and rely on one another for support to conquer missions.
Together, all of our fifth graders will experience outdoor activities which include nature walks, exploring the forest, fishing, fire and shelter building, and kayaking.
My students will have a hands-on and complete outdoor experience, trying new activities that build character and change lives for good.
