My Project

I have currently just accepted my first job as a kindergarten teacher in Oklahoma. This is one of the most exciting moments of my life but I am struggling to purchase all of the things I will need to make my classroom great. I am a month out from graduation and ready to start this journey as soon as I can!

The supplies I have requested are bigger items that will help my wiggly kindergarteners stay comfortable and concentrated in order to learn.

The biggest item, classroom set of scoop chairs, is something I have been using for the last year during my student teaching. These chairs not only motivate the students but keep them focused and not constantly moving around the classroom. I have also requested two rugs. These rugs will be used in the reading station and as the main sitting area for lessons and class meeting. These two rugs are where students will spend over 60% of the school day and definitely the most important parts of our day.

I teach in a rural and high poverty area so these materials would be so helpful and make my students years. Thank you!
