This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a first-year teacher, there are many things that I need to focus on and plan to help my students learn to the best of their ability. A new classroom comes with its own challenges, such as providing resources to enrich their environment and learning. The items I chose for this project fulfill the needs for an effective and engaging classroom.
My students show a great desire to learn, and I know these products will assist their challenges in guiding them to great academic and emotional success.
For example, the flexible learning center stools will create an inviting culture of comfort and understanding of student needs. These stools will be used daily for learning centers, flexible seating arrangements, and other learning activities that fit their needs.
The books will be added to our classroom library, where students will choose from daily for their stamina reading. Adding books to the library is a sure way to engage students in building their love for reading.
The learning game and manipulatives will allow students to engage in hands-on activities throughout the year, enriching their learning. Lastly, the snacks will be an opportunity for students to work as they complete their daily tasks and earn rewards for their hard work.
With this project, I will be confident as a first-year teacher, knowing that I have the many resources and tools to help elevate my classroom and my students' learning.
