This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a first-year teacher, having the right classroom equipment is crucial for fostering an effective and engaging learning environment. Help me get many essential tools, such as replacing old headphones and mouses for students, adequate seating arrangements such as carpet squares for morning circle and replace mine and my EA's office chairs, curtains for privacy since my room is facing a busy street, a storage cabinet along with bins to help organize my room and keep my students safe from clutter, and other classroom decorations that will make my room more inviting. These items are necessary to facilitate a fun and safe learning environment. Without these resources, it becomes challenging to implement innovative teaching strategies and support diverse learning styles. With this investment for my classroom, I can create a more dynamic and inclusive space that not only enhances student engagement but also promotes collaboration and a deeper understanding of the material.
