This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like your help in giving my 8th graders the classroom experience that they deserve!

As a first year teacher at a Title I school I want to create a classroom environment that encourages safe, creative, and well-rounded education.

Therefore, I have included a list of supplies that focuses on student comfort, encourages fun, and helps my students meet their basic needs. For example, I have included floor pillows and a fan so that they can move around the room comfortably while doing class work. I have also included basic need items such as sanitation, feminine products, pencils/erasers, tissues, organization baskets/ paper organizers, and a globe to meet the basic necessities of a systematic history class. However, I also believe that learning should be fun and thus included items for educational free time such as sudoku, history-related word searches, and mature coloring books to meet the desires of all students!

I want my students to be successful in their studies and enjoy the process as well!
