My Project
As a first-year teacher, I’m working hard to build a classroom that feels warm, safe, and full of opportunities for learning and growth. I teach at a Title I school that serves many students from low-income households, and while my students come to school with so much heart and curiosity, they often lack access to basic resources that support their academic and emotional development.
I’m asking for support to help provide my students with books, learning toys, and snacks—simple things that can make a huge difference in their day.
Books are the heart of our classroom; they help students build literacy skills, spark imagination, and see themselves reflected in the stories they read. I want to fill our classroom with books that excite, inspire, and represent the diverse voices of my students.
The toys and learning materials I’m requesting will support hands-on exploration, creativity, and social-emotional development. Whether it's building fine motor skills or learning to work together, these tools are key in helping my students grow in ways that go beyond traditional academics.
Finally, having snacks on hand ensures that no student has to struggle to focus because they’re hungry. A simple snack can help a child feel cared for, stay energized, and be ready to learn.
