This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Freshman and sophomores and me! Oh my! Let's start the year off right!
My group of sophomores and freshmen have never step foot into our school because of the pandemic.
Both the group of them, and myself are experiencing our wonderful school for the first time.
This makes them a special group! We have discussed how we can use our executive functioning skills to stay organized but many of them are having trouble setting up their materials to do so!
My Project
These materials will help my students have the basics they need to stay organized throughout the year.
Binders, dividers, pens, and pencils will help my freshman and sophomores have access to basic supplies that they may not have access to due to coming from low-income homes.
Chart paper will help me create visuals for my students to use during class as reference points.
The small desk will help with creating a main space at the front of the room for students to drop off and pick up supplies, handouts, and other various materials they will need for their class period.
The desk chair is for me, as right now I am working from a student's small desk. I would like to utilize the large table I have in my room but need a comfortable chair to sit in during my prep periods so I don't miss any school due to back aches.
