My Project

I am so excited to follow the first graders I have been student teaching into second grade! Our students rely heavily on our morning routine, and really love to come together on the rug for a morning check in. They deserve a calm, welcoming place to regulate themselves before we start the day!

In elementary school, our rugs are our home!

The second rug is for our calm-down corner. Our students have used this resource throughout first grade to self regulate, and I would love to continue this social-emotional development in second grade.

My students need a great place to check in with their community and themselves!
